Veg burger



I love burgers..It was in my to do list for many years.Actually I never saw lettuce and celery whenever going to the markert or super markets.Finally I decided to try it with available materials.Believe me the burger was just like store bought one:).
Here I used peas carrot and potatos for making patties .You may use veggies of your choice.You may add nuts corn mushrooms or anything of your choice.I felt this combo of peas potato and carrot  is good and tasted just like store bought one.
You may use garam masala instead of amchoor powder.But I strongly recommend Amchur powder :)

Inji curry / Sweet and sour ginger pickle


Onam is the National festival of Kerala.All the Keralites celebrate it with happiness.And this year I decided to post atleast one onam dish during the season.:)
Ginger is a  useful medicine in curing indigestion,cough and nausea etc.Ginger and honey is a super combo used to cure sour throat and cough.Amma ised to give ginger juice with salt whenever i used to complain about stomach ache during my childhood.Dry ginger is a main ingredient in herbal tea.Hope i will post that recipe once I reach my village :)

Inji curry is a hot and sour pickle made with ginger and green chillies .We cant avoid inji curry while serving Ona sadya. .My dad was an expert in inji curry preparation and he used to add more green chillies.Still I remember those Onam days I used to assist my Dad for pickle preparation.First lemon and mango then inji curry.Im also following the same method .Many variations of inji curry are available .In some area people ussed to add coconut in inji curry.Some used to add coriander powder too.People of Northern side of kerala call it as puli inji and they use ginger juice instead of  whole ginger.

Carrot thoran / Carrot stir fry with coconut


Whenever Im feeling very lazy to get up in the morning I prefer easy peasy stir fry to pack lunch :)I call this recipe as bachelors recipe..You just need to grate the carrot thats all!

Carrots are root vegetables rich in anti oxidents. Vitamin A vitamin C  potassium iron copper are the other things present in it.I love to drink carrot juice very much .It is rich in beeta carotene which is converetd in to vit A in the liver.Carrot is known for its anti aging property too. I believe that it will help to get a glowing skin too.

I have my food processor  that is making my job very easy .You may prepare the same recipe without coconut also.
